Good Times Restaurants Inc. today announced it plans to roll out new All Natural Boneless Buffalo Wings in October following a successful test in multiple restaurants.
Nick Biegel, director of Product Development, said the chain has doubled its chicken sales since the introduction of Springer Mountain All Natural Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders about six months ago.
"This is a natural extension for that product, particularly in light of two of the large burger chains introducing a lower quality product and spending millions of dollars on their advertising. We feel we can leverage that awareness with a much higher quality, all-natural product that is consistent with Good Times' heritage of providing high flavor and hand-crafted quality," he said.
The company reported that the launch will be supported by television advertising utilizing the same platform that has helped drive double-digit same-store sales increases in the last six months.
"The television advertising uses an illustrated story board approach that reinforces our hand crafted brand position. The new ad will reinforce our use of all-natural chicken provided by the first company to be awarded humane certification," said Nicholas Corbishley, director of Marketing.
Franchise development VP search underway
Additionally, Good Times has narrowed its search for the position of vice president of Franchise Development for its recently-acquired Bad Daddy's Burger Bar concept. The company plans to develop the Bad Daddy's brand in Colorado and other states through multiunit operators.
