Good Times marks 11th consecutive quarter of sales increases

April 11, 2013

Good Times Restaurants Inc. announced its same-store sales for the second fiscal quarter increased 7 percent and 3.9 percent for the month of March.

President and CEO Boyd Hoback said the company is seeintg acceleration from recent menu initiatives, such as breakfast and All Natural Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders.

"We are particularly encouraged by the fact that March comps include colder and wetter weather this year and the calendar shift for Easter in March this year from April last year. We've been able to continue our momentum in the quarter without the benefit of any meaningful media advertising, which didn't begin until the last week of March," he added.

The results mark Good Times' 11 consecutive quarter of same-store sales increases, including a cumulative increase of 20 percent in the second quarter for the last three years.

"We hope to be able to continue our sales growth the rest of this year as we begin our first television advertising we've had in about three years," Hoback said.

Because of the sales increases, as well as the recent full repayment of debt, the company is looking to add new sites for the brand in Colorado, as well as evaluating a second concept.
