Good Times' new menu boards contribute to positive sales

November 15, 2011

Colorado-based Good Times Restaurants Inc. announced its 16th consecutive month of same-store sales increases through the end of October, with September and October sales increasing slightly over the prior year's 7.4 percent and 20 percent increases, respectively.

For the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, same-store sales for the chain were up 6.2 percent.

Boyd Hoback, president and CEO, said the company anticipates reporting approximately $1.3 million in improved cash flow from continuing operations from FY 2011, compared to FY 2010.

"We are pleased that we continue to see improved sales trends as we lap over more challenging comparisons from last year's big increases, a trend which continues into November," he said.

The company also reported that it is completing its planned rollout of new menu boards to all of its restaurants which, along with the current Santiago's green chile promotion, has increased the average transaction by approximately 4 percent.

Looking ahead to 2012, Hoback said the company will continue an aggressive product reformulation introduction schedule centered on a quarterly "Lover's" theme. Good Times also plans to augment its plans with a new customer loyalty program.
