Yum Brands Inc's KFC restaurants in the UK, which are serving limited menus at reopened restaurants after a chicken supply snafu with its delivery firm, are now suffering from a gravy shortage.
A week after its well-publicized chicken supply delivery problems, KFC UK is now experiencing another problem that it has attributed to "ongoing distribution challenges," this time with its gravy, according to Reuters.
Last week, the chain had a major delivery snafu with its chicken deliveries during the transition from its former product transportation service, Bidvest Logistics, to DHL in mid-February. The chain's Twitter feed in the U.K. and Ireland reported that more than 90 percent of its 900 stores were open, though some had limited menus.
Little information was available about the cause or severity of the reported shortage of gravy or if it is a byproduct of the chicken delivery problems.
QSRweb is awaiting a response to its questions about the latest problems.
