Great American Cookies signs first franchise agreement for Chile

Great American Cookies will soon be adding Chile to its list of international markets as the chain signs its first master franchise agreement for South America, parent company NexCen Brands Inc., has announced. This summer, the chain opened its first store in Mexico.
NexCen Brands has signed a master franchise agreement with Demaso S.A. for the development of a minimum of 15 Great American Cookies franchised stores in Chile over a 10-year term. This agreement is not only the first expansion of Great American Cookies into South America but the first for the company's quick-service restaurant brands as well.
"The expansion of Great American Cookies into Chile continues our strategy to extend the global footprint of NexCen Brands," said Kenneth J. Hall, CEO of NexCen Brands. "With Chile, our franchised brands have entered 20 new countries in the last two years."
