Green Burrito intros grilled flautas

Green Burrito at Carl's Jr. is expanding its menu to include grilled flautas with charbroiled chicken.

According to a news release, flautas are also known as "tacos dorados" or "golden tacos" in Mexico. Green Burrito's offering includes charbroiled chicken, spicy Santa Fe sauce and shredded Jack and cheddar cheeses rolled in a flour tortilla and grilled. It is also served with a side of guacamole.

The grilled flautas with charbroiled chicken are available now at all dual-branded Carl's Jr./Green Burrito restaurants.

"Chicken taquitos have been a staple on Mexican restaurant menus for many years now so we decided to try another rolled-up Mexican cuisine favorite, flautas," said John Koncki, director of product development at Carl's Jr. and Green Burrito.
