Half-price Big Mac combatting climate change hits big in Japan

Agence France-Presse: A Japanese government Web site crashed Sept. 5, 2007, as people pledged to fight global warming in exchange for a half-price McDonald's hamburger.
The Japanese unit of McDonald's is offering a Big Mac for 150 yen ($1.3), about half the normal price, to anyone demonstrating a commitment to preventing climate change.
