Flint, Michigan-based Halo Burger is working to not only warm up customers, but help potential customers warm up to the brand by offering all who stop in a hot regular coffee at a bargain low price set by that particular day's high temperature.
For instance, the price today was pegged at 40 cents to sync with the 40-degree high. Coffee prices will then fluctuate every weekday according to the high temp for Flint denoted on weather.com.
"This campaign was actually born out of a customer service call," Halo Burger Director of Marketing Olivia Ross said in a press release. "After spending some time talking to this guest, they informed (us that) the Thomas family (founders of chain) used to price coffee every day according to the temperature. I immediately knew we had to bring it back."
Ross will actually be the featured guest for the brand on the QSRweb podcast on Jan. 17, where guests will learn about this regional chain's persona and where it's headed.
The coffee deal is on this month only, though the brand concedes the coffee price won't drop below 10 cents and hopefully Mother Nature is listening.
