Handel’s ice cream shops offering free cones to veterans

On Nov. 11, participating Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and Yogurt shops across the country are giving away free single scoop ice cream cones to all veterans and military personnel with a valid military ID. No purchase is required.

“From one veteran to another, this is our small way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much for our country,” President Leonard Fisher said in a news release. Fisher is a Vietnam vet.

Military guests can choose from nearly 50 different flavors of Handel’s ice cream for the promotion.
