Hardee's brings back Texas Toast breakfast sandwiches

July 26, 2013

The Texas Toast breakfast sandwich line has returned to Hardee's menu.

The sandwiches include two pieces of grilled Texas Toast topped with egg, American cheese, and a choice of sausage, bacon or ham. First introduced in 2009, they are being brought back due to popular dmenad.

"Even Hardee's hardcore Made From Scratch Biscuit fans like a little variety now and then, and our new line of Texas Toast Breakfast Sandwiches provides a delicious alternative for them," said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Hardee's. "That thick, buttery Texas toast provides a perfect complement to the savory tastes of eggs and sausage, bacon or ham."

To announce the return of the sandwich line, Hardee's has enlisted professional bull rider and Texan Douglas Duncan for its marketing campaign. The new ad creative featuring Duncan was created by Los Angeles- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny.

Texas Toast breakfast sandwiches are available at participating Hardee's locations for $2.49 as an entrée and $4.69 as a small combo. Prices may vary by location.
