Hardee's, Carl's Jr. ad promotes flat buns

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — A new TV commercial celebrates flat buns to promote the Patty Melt Burger, a new Carl's Jr. and Hardee's burger that uses flat buns.
Carl's Jr. and Hardee's conducted an Internet survey of 2,000 Americans to rank the flattest female and male celebrity buns.
The Patty Melt Burger includes a charbroiled beef patty, grilled onions, American cheese and flat, grilled rye bread. It is available at participating Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants. Pricing varies regionally.
