Hardee's enters value game with $5.99 offering

Hardee's is entering the value game with a $5.99 Original Bag offering. Guests can choose any two full size entrees — Hardee's Original Hot Ham and Cheese, Double Cheeseburger or Hand Breaded Chicken Tender Wrap. In select markets, local favorites like Hardee's Chili Dog and Regular Roast Beef Sandwich are also included as options in the Original Bag, according to a press release.

The bag includes a small fry and a drink with the option to upgrade to medium or large sizes for an additional fee.

"What makes Hardee's so special is the craft-made quality and home-town hospitality our guests love, paired with the convenience and value they need," Sarah Breymaier, Hardee's VP of marketing, said in the press release. "From our premium, all-white-meat chicken tenders hand-dipped in buttermilk, to our charbroiled beef patties, the new Hardee's Original Bag is the perfect nod to our history and to the loyal guests who've been with us for generations."

Hardee's operates approximately 1,600 restaurants across the U.S. and has a presence in 13 countries worldwide. The brand is owned by CKE Restaurant Holdings Inc.
