Hardee's franchisee sets high goal for MDA fundraising
February 16, 2009
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Hardee's franchisee Boddie-Noell Enterprises' locations have set a goal to raise more than $300,000 in 2009 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association by participating in the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy campaign.
Between now and March 17, customers at participating restaurants will be encouraged to purchase a $1 green Shamrock. Participating Hardee's are located in North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky and South Carolina.
Each customer who purchases a Shamrock will receive a coupon for a discount in the restaurant. Once sold, the Shamrocks, which include the customer's signature, will be hung for display in each restaurant.
A portion of the total raised by BNE restaurants will help send children across North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky and South Carolina to MDA summer camps this year.
The money raised through this year's campaign will add to the $1 million donated by customers at restaurants operated by BNE over the past 10 years through the purchase of Shamrocks.
The contribution from the more than 340 Boddie-Noell restaurants will be one of the largest received by the MDA in the Carolinas and in Virginia this year.
