Hardee's franchisees launch Hometown Tour

GUADALUPE, Ariz. — Hardee's franchisee group MJKL Enterprises has announced it is going on the road in the the Hardee's Hometown Tour.
 
The tour will visit customers at 60 Hardee's restaurants in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee and will donate money to hometown charity groups, organizations and individuals. The tour begins Aug. 13, 2008, in Centralia, Ill., and concludes Aug. 21 in Springfield, Ill.
 
Hardee's guests at each tour stop will receive prizes, food samplings and other items. In addition, the community restaurant chain will present a check to a local charity or deserving community member, all selected by the LeVecke family, the Hardee's franchisees. The charitable donations will total approximately $50,000.
 
The LeVecke family is known for its philanthropic work their home state of Arizona. They are the grandchildren of Carl's Jr. founder Carl Karcher.
 
MJKL Enterprises recently acquired the 60 stores the tour vehicle will visit.
