Hardee's is calling all the best biscuit-makers to help the brand find its next biscuit recipe at a brand where biscuits have long been a calling card of sorts. The #HardeesBiscuitChallenge seeks to find the best of the best in biscuit-dom to come forward via social media channels, Instagram and Twitter and submit the recipes for their best culinary concoctions, a news release said.
Bakers simply submit the biscuit creation instructions on one of the channels using the hashtag, #HardeesBiscuitChallenge. The brand culinary team will chose one winner to receive a years' worth of Hardee's Made-from-Scratch Sausage Biscuits, and the chance to have their biscuit added to Hardee's menus in the U.S. The contest will also recognize two honorable mention winner who'll receive gift cards for their efforts.
The brand said all recipes entered will be judged on the following three characteristics:
"Our customers know and love the brand for our hand-crafted, unexpected originals. This challenge gives fans the chance to contribute their take on the Hardee's values — and bring their unique creativity to develop the next great biscuit," Hardee's Senior Director of Brand Marketing Jenna Folk, said in the release.
The #HardeesBiscuitChallenge was inspired by Wichita, Kansas Hardee's District Manager Bill Hopper, who developed some of the brand's latest menu additions as part of a contest with Hardee's franchisee, Capstone Restaurant Group. His creations include:
The brand's Southwest menu items also include a Southwest patty melt and jalapeno cheddar fries, all available for a limited time.
