Harvey's adds plant-based Lightlife burger in Canada

September 3, 2019

Sixty-year-old Canadian QSR, Harvey's, is adding a plant-based burger to its menu that it said will be flame-grilled and contains no soy, gluten or GMOs. The brand's new offering is made by Lightlife Foods parent, Greenleaf Foods, SPC.

All of Harvey's 292 Canadian stores are carrying the company's made-in-Canada Lightlife Burger, which customers can choose as a flame-grilled patty on their sandwiches. The 3.5-ounce patty contains 18 grams of plant-based protein and is made with ingredients like beets and pea protein.

"Adding the Lightlife Burger to our menu reflects our commitment to quality, Canadian-made products and provides our guests with more access to healthy and delicious options to make their burger a beautiful thing," Harvey's Canada COO Dave Colebrook said in the release.
