HMSHost CEO elected to NRA board

HMSHost President and CEO Steve Johnson was elected to this year's National Restaurant Association board of directors, exclusively representing the airport dining industry, a growing player in foodservice. He joins 59 other industry professionals from all facets of foodservice business on the board, a news release said.

"At HMSHost, we've elevated the overall travel dining experience with outstanding local, national, and proprietary restaurants, along with unique culinary events," Johnson said in the release. 

"As we approach the association's hundredth anniversary, Steve's innovative ideas and unique insights will help us set the table for another 100 years of success," board chair Jay Stieber, said in the release. 

HMSHost operates food and beverage locations in more than 120 airports around the globe, as well as at more 100 travel plazas on motorways throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company has annual sales of nearly $3.3 billion and employs more than 41,000 associates worldwide and is part of Autogrill Group, which provides food and beverage services for travelers.
