Authorities searched Subway spokesman Jared Fogle’s home today, according to CNN, as part of a probe that may link him to an investigation of someone who once worked for his foundation, an organization that helps combat childhood obesity
Investigators seized computers from Fogle’s home in Zionsville, which is north of Indianapolis, said Fogle's attorney Ron Elberger. He did not, however, disclose what they were seeking, according to CNN.
"Jared has been cooperating with law enforcement in its investigation of certain unspecified activities and looks forward to its conclusion," Fogle's attorney told CNN.
Two months ago the executive director of the Jared Foundation was arrested in Indianapolis and is facing federal child pornography charges.
Authorities haven't said anything linking today's search at Fogle's home to that case, according to CNN, and Fogle was not arrested.
Subway, this afternoon, released the following statement regarding the search:
"We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don’t have any more details at this point.”
