Homeland Security drops no-match in favor of E-verify

San Francisco Chronicle: The Department of Homeland Security is abandoning the Bush-era no-match rule, in which the government compared Social Security numbers on employees' tax forms with the Social Security database and notified employers of discrepancies. The government will instead require employers to use the E-Verify screening system.
