New England based donut and coffee chain Honey Dew Donuts has furthered its expansion plans through a new partnership with The Dartmouth Co. The Dartmouth Co. is a full-service commercial real estate firm specializing in the leasing and sale of retail properties throughout New England.
Last month, Honey Dew brought on Larry Flaherty as its director of franchise development to oversee its growth efforts. Already, he is optimistic about the responses he has received from potential franchisees and the addition of The Dartmouth Co.'s service will only extend the momentum, he said in a statement. "By adding the services of The Dartmouth Group, I am anticipating great success toward the expansion efforts of Honey Dew in the New England region."
Honey Dew is looking to expand into markets in the New England area, focusing on Central and Northern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. The chain operates more than 145 donut shops in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
In contrast, Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Donuts, the donut leader, has more than 6,500 U.S. locations, many of them in New England. Dunkin' is focusing its expansion efforts in mid-America, from Chicago east to Philadelphia and south to Miami.
