Hungry Howie's is raising funds and awareness in October for the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. through its annual "Love, Hope & Pizza" campaign. Over the past decade, Hungry Howie's has donated more than $3 million to the organization through a portion of its October sales, a news release said.
This year, Hungry Howie's will contribute to the foundation's COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide breast cancer patients with the services and care they need. Additionally, the chain is offering guests a medium single-topping pizza for $1 with their online purchase of a large single-topping pizza at regular price.
The brand will also serve its pies in pink boxes through Oct. 29 bearing the foundation's logo, with every pizza purchased also triggering a donation to the relief fund. And finally, customers can opt to round-up their order totals to the nearest dollar, with the extra cash going to the foundation, as well.
"Hungry Howie's has been a proud partner of NBCF for more than a decade and we're honored to continue our involvement to provide support to breast cancer patients and frontline responders during these critical times," Hungry Howie's CEO Steve Jackson, said in the release.
Hungry Howie's is based in the Detroit area and has nearly 550 locations in 21 states across the U.S.
