Jack in the Box adds Monster Taco to permanent menu

October 17, 2013

The Monster Taco is back on the menu at Jack in the Box restaurants for the first time since 2009. The taco is now as a permanent item at the chain.

"With Halloween approaching, this is the perfect time to announce the return of our Monster Taco," said Iwona Alter, division vice president of Menu Strategy at Jack in the Box. "We're not only bringing back a guest favorite, we're planning to add new variations of our Monster Taco."

Available for $1.29 plus tax, Jack's Monster Taco is a twist on the classic Jack in the Box taco, but larger. It is served topped with shredded lettuce, American cheese and taco sauce.

Additionally, the BLT Cheeseburger is back on the menu at Jack in the Box restaurants for a limited time beginning today. It is available in a value-priced combo meal, which also includes a 20-oz. beverage and small order of fries, for $4.99, plus tax.

The BLT Cheeseburger, which was first introduced in early 2012, features hickory-smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, a 100-percent beef patty, American cheese, pickles and mayo-onion sauce and is served on a sesame seed bun.
