Jack in the Box Franchise Association honors multiunit owners

The National Jack in the Box Franchise Association held its 2014 Conference and Tradeshow recently in Whistler, British Columbia, with the theme: "Partnering for Success."

The event included an awards ceremony which recognized longtime Jack in the Box entrepreneurs, Michael Flores, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Terry Shindle, recipient of the Chairman Award.

According to a news release, Flores has been with Jack in the Box for 44 years, becoming a franchise owner in 2008. He currently operates 22 Jack in the Box locations along the Central Coast and Bay Area of California.

Shindle is the CEO and franchise owner of 121 Jack in the Box locations, located in Southern California, Illinois and Missouri.

"The award winners have demonstrated dedication and relentless energy toward the Jack in the Box brand," Reza Khajavi, president of the National Franchise Association Board of Directors, said in the release. "These individuals have been essential to creating a culture of partnership and collaboration and we are pleased to honor them with these prestigious awards."

The conference featured speakers including Jack in the Box Chairman, CEO and President, Lenny Comma and EVP and CFO, Jerry P. Rebel, among others.
