Jack in the Box looks back with Bonus Jack

September 29, 2009

Jack in the Box is bringing back a burger favorite from the time of miniskirts and transistor radios. Originally launched in 1970, the Bonus Jack rocked the fast-food world when the chain debuted the double cheeseburger.

For a limited time, Jack in the Box is offering a Bonus Jack Combo Meal, featuring the double-patty cheeseburger along with a small order of fries and small drink, for the suggested price of $3.99 at participating restaurants. The Bonus Jack features two beef patties topped with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, pickle and Secret Sauce and served in a triple-decker bun.

"This is a big burger and hearty meal at a very retro price," said Tammy Bailey, division vice president of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "Our guests today can now experience a popular blast from Jack's past and a value-priced combo meal that is particularly appealing to those on a tight budget."

Jack in the Box Inc. operates and franchises Jack in the Box restaurants, one of the nation's largest regional hamburger chains, with approximately 2,200 restaurants in 18 states. Additionally, through a wholly owned subsidiary, the company operates and franchises Qdoba Mexican Grill, a leader in fast casual dining, with approximately 500 restaurants in 42 states and the District of Columbia.
