The Jack in the Box Foundation raised $325,000 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters, its primary charitable partner since 1998. Monies for the donation were raised during the 24th annual Jack in the Box Charity Golf Tournament, which was held June 6 in Indian Wells, Calif.
According to a news release, nearly 400 Jack in the Box franchisees, employees and vendors attended the event. Joining the Jack in the Box Foundation as co-title sponsor for this year’s event was the National Jack in the Box Franchise Association, which represents 100 franchise owners with more than 1,700 Jack in the Box restaurants.
Year to date in 2014, the Jack in the Box Foundation has donated more than $600,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, which also includes a $245,000 contribution in January. Since naming Big Brothers Big Sisters as its primary charitable partner in 1998, the Jack in the Box Foundation has contributed more than $7 million in financial and in-kind support to the agency, the release said.
