Jack in the Box rolls out Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta sandwich

SAN DIEGO — Jack in the Box introduced a new Sirloin Steak 'n' Cheddar Ciabatta sandwich. According to a news release, the item features marinated sirloin steak on toasted ciabatta with cheddar cheese, red onions, tomatoes and leaf lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn mayo. It sells for $4.59.
 
"Consumers expect more from fast-food restaurants these days," said Teka O'Rourke, director of menu marketing at Jack in the Box Inc. "They want the same upscale menu items they order at casual or sit-down restaurants, but served in a way that's affordable and portable. A high-quality sirloin steak sandwich fits the bill."
 
The 2,000-unit chain recently placed a Bruschetta Chicken Ciabatta and a Ciabatta Breakfast sandwich on the menu.
