June 9, 2008

SAN DIEGO — Jack in the Box restaurants will begin serving tomatoes at most of its restaurants early the week of June 8 following further clarification from the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA has indicated that the California-grown tomatoes being supplied to Jack in the Box restaurants are not linked to tomatoes that have been associated to recent illnesses in several states. Tomatoes will return to the menu once restaurants are resupplied.
