Jeremiah's Italian Ice cools down central Texas

Florida-based Jeremiah's Italian Ice is opening a second Texas location, Sept. 1 in Temple on Green Hollow Drive, a news release said.

Franchisee Lynn Reichl, who owns a shoe store and foot care facility with her husband in the city, is excited to be a part of the 24-year-old chain.

"I have always fondly remembered the moments my family would go get a frozen treat. I want to help families and people in this community get together and make those memories, too," Reichl said in the release.

In addition to the brand's 27 locations throughout Florida, Arizona and Texas, the company has put 100 units in the works in less than a year since it began franchising. It expects to add 224 in the next five years, the release said.
