South Florida residents have a new place to cool off — Jeremiah's Italian Ice at 15820 Pines Boulevard within the Fountain Square Plaza in Pembrook Pines.
Owners and husband-and-wife duo, David Hung and Johanna Tung, with the help of restauranteurs, Jimmy Tung and Johnny Tung of the Bento Group, are behind the opening, which is the first from their 18-location deal. Plans call for three to four openings over the next few years, according to a company press release.
"It's our mission to share this amazing concept with the community. We're so eager to give our employees and staff the opportunity to fully embrace entrepreneurship," Hung said. "Not only do we strive to help our employees succeed in a work setting, but we want to see them have a positive impact within their community."
Each Jeremiah's location features vibrant decor and offers over 40 flavors of Italian Ice, along with specialty combinations such as the Jeremiah's Gelati, which has layers of Italian Ice swirled with soft-serve ice cream.
The store also gives back to the community by sponsoring school events and donating a portion of its sales to support a local school organization.
Jeremiah's Italian Ice was founded in 1996 in Winter Park, Florida, and has been franchising since 2019. It has more than 30 locations, spanning Florida, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas
