Jimboy's spells 'hero' T-A-C-O

September 6, 2017

This month,  Jimboy’s Tacos launched a four-week initiative, Taco for a Hero, that puts a free beef or bean Taco in the hands of military personnel and first responders. No purchase is necessary, according to a news release, just the presence of any active or retired service person, emergency responder or member of law enforcement at a Jimboy's Tacos location.

Customers who wear their service uniform or show proof of service or a military ID will be be honored with a free taco.

"We understand that first responders may not necessarily refer to themselves as 'heroes,' but to us, that is exactly what they are," longtime Jimboy's franchisee, Roy Perez said in the release. "We have the utmost respect for these men and women and are looking forward to thanking them personally when they visit Jimboy's."

The offer is limited to one taco per person, per day, through the end of the month.
