Jimmy's Egg gets 'crackin' in Iowa

Jimmy's Egg is opening its first Iowa location in June on Southeast University Avenue in West Des Moines, a news release said. The 105-seat location near the Des Moines Golf and Country Club is the chain's 59th location and is operated by partnership group JEIowa Inc. LLC, which plans to expand to 19 Jimmy's Egg locations in Iowa and nearby regions.

The 37-year-old Oklahoma City-based brand specializes in breakfast and lunch and has been franchising for about nine years, the release said.

To celebrate the Iowa opening, Jimmy's Egg is partnering with the Food Bank of Iowa from June 19 to July 2 to collect nonperishable food items for those in need.
