KBP Foods, one of Yum! Brand’s largest franchisees, has acquired 24 restaurants in Kansas, Missouri and Florida from D-Carr Investments and related entities

Overland Park, Kansas’ KBP Foods, one of Yum! Brand’s largest franchisees, has acquired 24 restaurants in Kansas, Missouri and Florida from D-Carr Investments and related entities, according to a company press release.
The agreement brings the total number of KBP restaurants to 247, operating in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
The latest deal includes franchises under all three YUM! Brands restaurants, as well as Long John Silver’s franchises. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“KBP’s success by growth-through-acquisition strategy has been incredibly successful, and this acquisition is right in line with our business model,” said Barry Dubin, KBP Foods CDO. “With our recent recapitalization, we are continuing to seek out opportunities for KBP to add 50 to 60 new units a year over the next five years.”
KBP consistently ranks as one of the10 fastest-growing restaurant companies in the country; its leadership recently completed a management buyout from investors after quadrupling its holdings in just four years, according to the release.
