The latest #HowDoYouKFC video, as part of KFC's new marketing campaign, features Team USA Bobsled brakeman Jim Carriel, and retired Team USA Bobsled pilot Landon Phillips.
According to a news release, the video captures the duo speeding down the track at 70 mph while Carriel eats KFC chicken from a Go Cup in the sled's custom cup-holder. The campaign was created to show the portability and snackability of the KFC Go cup, the company said.
The bobsled video joins a growing list of #HowDoYouKFC films that are taking KFC to "extreme" places, including a video of a motorcycle backflip while eating chicken, and a film featuring a ski jumper enjoying Extra Crispy Strips in mid-flight. The films are the work of KFC agency Draftfcb Chicago.
"We spent two years testing the portability of our Go Cup, but making sure it worked in cars was just the beginning," said Kevin Hochman, chief marketing officer for KFC U.S. "Of late, we've taken portability to the next level — motorcycles, ski jumpers and now bobsleds. Not sure what the next mega-portability test might be. Maybe we'll find ourselves a test pilot."
