Kentucky Fried Chicken is launching a Quick Pick-Up system to help customers avoid long wait times in drive-thru lines, according to a company press release.

Customers place an order for pick-up on the KFC app or KFC.com and, once at the store, park in a dedicated parking spot. They then go into the store where their order is waiting on a Quick Pick-Up shelf.

"Quick Pick-Up is changing the game by making fast food even more convenient and easy for busy customers," Kevin Hochman, president, KFC U.S., said in the release. "Santa may not be able to give you the gift of time this holiday season, but KFC can."

Quick Pick-Up is available at participating KFCs.

In addition, now through Dec. 27, guests can get access to offers on KFC.com and the KFC app:

  • Get a free large order of Secret Recipe Fries with a $5 purchase placed through the KFC app or KFC.com.
  • An eight-piece chicken and eight-piece tenders Fill Up, which includes eight pieces of KFC's Original Recipe or Extra Crispy fried chicken and eight Extra Crispy Chicken Tenders, a large coleslaw, four biscuits, and two large mashed potatoes and gravy.

KFC operates more than 26,000 restaurants in more than 145 countries and territories around the world. KFC Corporations is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands in Louisville, Kentucky.
