KFC has expanded its presence in Arizona with the opening of a restaurant in Sun City, according to a press release.

The restaurant, located at 10801 W. Grand Ave. near Plaza de Grande, officially opened for business on July 8. The location is owned and operated by Pak Foods, LLC, a Houston-based franchisee group that operates more than 160 restaurants across the Southwest. Leadership team members Tanweer and Rehman Ahmed are spearheading the operations in Sun City.

"We're proud to officially bring KFC to the Sun City community and create a convenient new destination for residents and visitors to enjoy the brand's iconic menu offerings," Rehman said in the press release. "Our team is committed to providing a welcoming experience and high-quality service for every guest who visits. We look forward to becoming part of the community and serving Sun City residents for years to come."

To celebrate the launch, the restaurant held an official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the local chamber of commerce on July 14.

The Sun City opening marks the 84th KFC location for Pak Foods, LLC, which also operates Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Smalls Sliders locations across Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada.
