In response to America's enduring love of ranch dressing, KFC is partnering with internet personality IShowSpeed to introduce Hot Ranch Big Dip, available now alongside the returning Double Crispy Hot Wings, according to a press release.
According to data from Datassential, 75% of consumers like or love ranch, with 44% eating it weekly. To address the common customer complaint of having to ration small sauce cups, KFC's new Hot Ranch Big Dip offers a generous four-ounce serving. The sauce combines creamy ranch with savory garlic and herbs, finished with a chili pepper kick, and is designed to pair with the crispy, spicy crunch of the returning Double Crispy Hot Wings.
"We're excited to team up with IShowSpeed because he's been part of the KFC story long before this partnership, making him the perfect person to help us bring Hot Ranch Big Dip Energy to fans nationwide," Melissa Cash, chief marketing officer for KFC U.S., said in the release. "We knew the product had to live up to that excitement, so we tested version after version until we found the perfect balance of creamy, tangy ranch with just the right kick of heat. Great ranch should be enjoyed, not rationed, which is why we made our Hot Ranch Big Dip twice the size."
The dip can be ordered a la carte or as part of several new menu additions. These include Hot Ranch Loaded Wedges, topped with six pickle slices and drizzled with the new sauce, as well as two Double Crispy Box Meals that feature the hot wings, wedges, a medium drink and a choice of either a KFC Chicken Sandwich or three Original Recipe Tenders.
IShowSpeed, who has frequently documented his affinity for the fast-food chain on his global streams, also stars in a new 60-second commercial titled "KFC Hot Ranch." The spot plays on a misunderstanding where the streamer arrives at an actual ranch before realizing the real star of the shoot is the new sauce.
There are more than 30,000 KFC restaurants in 150 countries and territories around the world.
"Everybody knows I love KFC. I've been a fan for years and I've visited KFCs all over the world, so getting to team up with a brand I've always been a fan of is huge for me," IShowSpeed said in the release. "My fans have seen that everywhere I've traveled, so getting to make it official with KFC is crazy. It really feels like everything came full circle."
The restaurant chain said additional collaborations with the streamer are planned for later this fall. The new menu items are available for a limited time at participating KFC restaurants while supplies last.
