KFC claims its food is "finger lickin' good" and now it has created a utensil that makes its even easier to eat. The KFC Finger Spork are a new spin on the original spork that KFC helped popularize in the early 1970s, according to a press release.
The finger slides into the spork and can be used on the brand's side dishes. KFC has created a 90s-inspired infomercial to show how to use the new utensil. The Finger Spork is available through July 12 with the purchase of a Sides Lovers Meal.
"KFC Finger Sporks are taking sides off the sidelines and putting them in the spotlight," Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer of KFC U.S. said in the release. "Every detail of the innovative Finger Spork has been carefully crafted and pressure tested — by way of eating many KFC sides — for the optimal finger lickin' good experience."
KFC operates more than 26,000 restaurants in more than 145 countries and territories.
