KFC manager recognizes robber as fired employee

Memphis Commercial Appeal: A manager at a Memphis, Tenn., KFC recognized a masked man attempting to rob the store as an employee who had been fired the day. The manager heard a knock at the back door at 8:20 a.m. and yelled for the person to come to the front door. When she unlocked the door, a masked man rushed in armed with a knife and demanded money from the safe. The manager refused and was cut on the hand during a fight with the suspect, who ran when she called his name. Police arrested him shortly after.
