KFC not considering halal meat in U.S.

Nation's Restaurant News: KFC officials said it has no plans to offer halal meat at U.S. stores despite a test underway at eight London locations. That test, which should last through the summer, was implemented because of the huge demand there for halal meat, which is slaughtered in strict accordance with Islamic law.
A few KFC franchise stores in Chicago and Atlanta offer halal menu items, requiring a strict certification process and working directly with suppliers.
