KFC franchisees in Southern California are offering a free Taste of KFC Deal to first responders to thank them for their service to the community, according to a press release.

Law enforcement officers, emergency medical services members (EMTs or paramedics), fire service members and members of the military engaged in relief efforts (who are carrying their first responder ID), can visit select participating locations to enjoy a free $5 Taste of KFC Deal.

First responders can find a participating location near them here. The meal is offered from now until Sept. 27th.

"Our communities need us right now, and I am proud to be among the KFC franchisees who have come together to say, 'thank you' in a small way to those first responders helping us get through these wildfires," Jeff Baker, a KFC franchisee, said in the press release.

The KFC Foundation is supporting restaurant team members impacted by the wildfires through its Hardship Assistance Program. Eligible team members can apply to receive financial support if they have been impacted.

KFC operates more than 29,000 restaurants in nearly 150 countries and territories around the world.
