KFC plans 'innovation restaurant'

KFC Corp. has temporarily closed a flagship location in the heart of its hometown of Louisville, Ky., for renovations. According to Louisville Business First, the unit will reopen in late summer as an "Innovation Restaurant."

The menu will include "inspired chicken flavors" and numerous beverage choices. The purpose of the restaurant is to increase brand relevance.
