KFC sauces up summer with returning favorites, new Honey BBQ Nuggets

KFC is kicking off summer with a saucy selection of its popular Saucy Nuggets, according to a press release.

The chicken chain shook up its nugget flavors based on customer feedback. Two fan-favorites, Korean BBQ and Honey Sriracha, will remain on the menu. Joining the summer lineup for the first time is Honey BBQ, a classic sauce beloved by KFC fans. The company promises even more "saucy news" later this season.

• Honey BBQ: This sweet, smoky, and tangy sauce features brown sugar and honey to balance the tang of tomato and secret spices. Korean BBQ: A global-inspired choice for those seeking umami richness, with a sweet and savory combination of soy sauce, garlic, sugar and sesame.
• Honey Sriracha: Perfect for fans of sweet heat, this sauce combines red chili peppers, garlic and honey for a touch of sweetness with a kick.

For $5.99, customers can enjoy 10 KFC Saucy Nuggets smothered in their favorite sauce. Combo options with Secret Recipe Fries and a drink are also available.

"In response to requests from our customers, we're rolling out our popular Honey BBQ sauce on our nuggets. KFC guests have loved our Saucy Nuggets and we're excited to continue to introduce new flavors into the mix," Nick Chavez, CMO KFC U.S., said in the press release. "Our Saucy Nuggets are made the KFC way — starting with our 100% white meat chicken nuggets, hand-breaded by our cooks with our distinctive Original Recipe of 11 herbs and spices and sauced to perfection."
