KFC UK & Ireland target Gen Z with Kwench by KFC drink line

KFC U.K. & Ireland has launched "Kwench by KFC," a specialty drink line. The line targets the Gen Z drinks market, according to a press release.

The brand tested the drink line in 38 Manchester restaurants in 2025, and it is backed by a £38 million ($52,053,011.80) investment from KFC and its franchise partners.

The Kwench range introduces 11 freshly made drinks across four distinctive categories: Krunch Shakes, Boba Refreshers, Sparkling Lemonades and Iced Coffees, with additional new drinks already in the pipeline.

"Bold, trend-led drinks are playing a much bigger role in how Gen Z engage with restaurant brands, which is a huge opportunity for us," Leo Sloley, strategy and innovation director at KFC UK & Ireland, said in the release. "Kwench adds something completely fresh to our menu, giving people more reasons to visit KFC beyond our iconic chicken, at different moments throughout the day. Kwench is an important part of our ambition to become the fastest-growing restaurant brand for the next generation, and we can't wait for our customers to try the range."

This is the full Kwench range:

  • Sparkling Lemonades: Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade; Sparkling Cloudy Lemonade.
  • Boba Refreshers: Cherry Boba Refresher; Strawberry Boba Refresher.
  • Krunch Shakes: Caramel Krunch Shake; Chocolate Krunch Shake and Strawberry Shortcake Krunch Shake.
  • Iced Coffees: Iced Latte;Iced Caramel Coffee; Iced Mocha; Iced Tiramisu Latte.

KFC has more than 1,000 restaurants across the U.K. and Ireland.
