KFC U.K. switches from cardboard to paper packaging
January 29, 2009
Food Business Review: KFC Restaurants in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland have announced the company will switch to serving several of its most popular meals in paper wrapping instead of cardboard 'clamshells' as part of its commitment to more suitable business practices. Last year, the chain stopped boxing meals eaten in-store. Together, the initiatives should save around 2,000 metric tons of packaging annually.
