KFC unveils $2.99 Deals via aroma-focused product placement

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — To market the launch of its $2.99 Deals, Kentucky Fried Chicken conducted an aroma-based pilot, sending the meals on mail carts in offices in Washington, D.C., Chicago and Dallas during pre-lunch mail drops.
KFC's new $2.99 Deals are a plated meal including a chicken breast, drumstick and thigh, or two Crispy Strips, a side item and a biscuit.
