Krispy Kreme adds dark chocolate to the menu

Krispy Kreme has introduced an assortment of new dark chocolate treats. The new chocolate strawberry and double dark chocolate doughnuts are available now through Feb. 17 at participating U.S. and Canadian shops.

"Our new dark chocolate doughnuts are the perfect fusion of the rich, sophisticated taste of dark chocolate and our deliciously sweet glazed treats," said Ron Rupocinski, Krispy Kreme corporate chef.

The dark chocolate strawberry offering features dark chocolate Kreme and strawberry fillings combined in a dark chocolate iced doughnut with a red icing twirl on top. The double dark chocolate treat is a dark chocolate iced Original Glazed ring, drizzled with milk chocolate and topped with a dark chocolate rosette.

Krispy Kreme is also currently featuring mocha, an espresso-based hot or cold beverage topped with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle.
