Krispy Kreme celebrates 100th Korean unit

Krispy Kreme plans to open its 100th store in Korea Tuesday with franchisee Lotteria Co. Ltd.

Located in Jeonju Jeonbuk, the new 3,200-square-foot doughnut factory features indoor seating for 50 guests and a Doughnut Theater viewing area.

"We are proud to celebrate this joyous occasion with our partners at Lotteria Co. Ltd.," Dan Beem, president – International, said in a news release. "Lotteria Co. Ltd propelled our entry into Asia Pacific in 2004 with the opening of the first Krispy Kreme location in Korea. A decade later, this newest location in Jeaonju Jeonbuk is being celebrated as both Krispy Kreme’s 100th shop in Korea and its 300th shop in Asia Pacific."
