Krispy Kreme FUNdraising efforts hit Philly

August 8, 2011

Krispy Kreme Philadelphia is hosting a contest to give away more than 150 dozen doughnuts to selected community groups. The winning organizations will generate funds by selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at 100-percent profit.

One-hundred dozen doughnuts will be awarded to the first place winner, 50 dozen to the second place winner and 25 dozen to the third place winner.

Krispy Kreme offers four ways to raise funds: by selling Original Glazed Doughnuts, Fundraising Certificates, Partnership Cards or Signature Coffees.

Krispy Kreme FUNdraising has helped school organizations, youth sport groups and various church groups for more than 50 years. Last year Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Corporation helped organizations raise more than $30 million.

To participate in the FUNdraising contest, organizations in the Philadelphia market need to register online and, in 100 words or less, answer, "Why should Krispy Kreme Philly donate 100 dozen doughnuts to your organization?" Responses should be submitted no later than midnight Aug. 31.

"We are thrilled to help non-profits raise money and help their organization introduce the wonderful Krispy Kreme FUNdraising program. We had a lot of success with our last FUNdraising contest and want to help more organizations raise funds," said Brian Zaslow, managing partner, Dough Nuts for Doughnuts, LLC, the franchisee and area developer for Krispy Kreme Philadelphia.
