Krispy Kreme marks 600th international location

Krispy Kreme is celebrating the opening of its 600th international store on May 17. The company and its Puerto-Rico based franchise partner, Caribbean Glaze Corporation, plan to host a grand opening celebration at the new shop located at State Road #3, Km. 8.6, Carolina, Puerto Rico.

According to a news release, the 2,800-square-foot freestanding shop will feature Krispy Kreme's Hot Light and Doughnut Theatre. Grand opening activities will include commemorative t-shirts for the first 600 fans in line, activities and live music.

"We are delighted to finally open a store in Carolina," John Cook, CEO and president of Caribbean Glaze, said in the release. "It is our pleasure to bring the joy of Krispy Kreme closer to the east side, with an amazing new store design and our signature quality products."

Caribbean Glaze opened its first Krispy Kreme location in 2008 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. It currently operates additional locations in Guaynabo, Dorado, Ponce, Mayagüez and Hatillo.
