Krispy Kreme names general counsel

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. has announced the appointment of Darryl R. Marsch to senior vice president, general counsel and assistant secretary. Marsch joined Krispy Kreme as vice president and associate general counsel in May 2007 and has been leading the Krispy Kreme legal department in an interim capacity.
Before joining Krispy Kreme, Marsch served as senior counsel at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Winston-Salem, N.C., where he handled commercial litigation, regulatory, merger, transactional, and intellectual property issues. Prior to that, he served as a litigation and trade regulation attorney with the law firm of Jones Day in Washington, D.C.
Marsch received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Texas.
